Many authors in social sciences have applied the concept of racism to the analysis of personality dynamics of black people all over the world. In particular, some distinguished psychologists and the social scientists have discussed their theories in the manner that arouses curiosity regarding the intellectual capacities of the black race. Almost without exception these authors have exclusively relied on the outcome of controversial intellectual measures to argue the point that the black race is, indeed, an inferior race relative to white. As if this was not enough, some researchers have carried out activities calculated to depersonalize blacks in situations where blacks and whites share common aspirations and have mutual interest for selfactualization. Without question, the South African apartheid government serves as the breeding ground for the aversive racist tendencies toward blacks. The racial policy of the South African minority government, with the aim of promoting as well as stabilizing white ascendancy over blacks, reflects nothing short of pathological obsession for power and superiority. It is apartheid policy. It is racism.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
