L’hôpital et la danse contemporaine appartiennent a priori à deux mondes que tout oppose. Cependant, dans ce lieu où règnent la science et la rationalité, nous observerons que l’art chorégraphique n’est pas dénué d’efficacité dans la prise en charge des souffrances du corps, en agissant auprès de différents publics et à différentes échelles. La danse à l’hôpital permet ainsi de repenser les relations soignants-soignés, le quotidien hospitalier, notre imaginaire collectif du corps et les circulations au sein du territoire urbain.
La question de l’immersion est souvent perçue en termes d’interpénétration des espaces. Cependant, comme le souligne Claire Buisson, il existe une autre dimension de l’immersion, entendue cette fois-ci comme expérience sensorielle. Nous nous interrogerons alors sur la nature de cette dernière dans le cadre des représentations de danse contemporaine. En s’attachant à mieux comprendre la dimension interactionnelle de l’expérience chorégraphique et le vécu spectaculaire, cet article plaide pour une meilleure prise en compte de la dimension sensorielle et émotionnelle de l’immersion artistique.
