There is an ever-increasing demand for impurities required for profiling as regulatory agencies seek information during registration. Herein, we report FeCl3-catalyzed oxidative decarboxylation of aryl-, and heteroaryl acetic acids to...
1,3-Diazaadamantane systems are of pharmacological significance and are potentially interesting as anticholinergic compounds.
1To prepare the title compound, 4,8,9,10-tetraphenyl-1,3-diazatri cyclo[3.3.1.1]decan-6-one (2 g), diethylene glycol (7.5 mL) and hydrazene hydrate (10 mL), were taken into a 100 mL RB flask, and the contents were heated at 100˚C for an hour. Then, the mixture was allowed to cool and KOH (1.2 g) was added to it. Excess hydrazine hydrate was distilled off. The resulting solution was heated at 200˚C for an hour, and then the mixture X-ray Structure Analysis Online
Rhodium(II) acetate catalyzed domino reactions of bis-diazo compounds afford epoxy-and epithio-bridged heterocycle-fused quinolizinone systems in a stereoselective manner. The presence of an acceptor diazo functionality leads to a selective intermolecular X-H insertion reaction in a chemoselective manner, and the acceptor/acceptor diazo functionality subsequently participates in the formation of isomünchnone/thioisomünchnone 1,3-dipoles followed by intramolecular cycloaddition in a diastereoselective manner. This domino reaction is capable of constructing epoxy-and epithio-bridged heterocyclefused quinolizinone ring systems with four stereogenic centers. The Brønsted acid induced reactions of oxa-bridged tricyclic compounds furnish ring-opened alcohol products in a regioselective manner.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
