Hydrogel‐based sensors have attracted enormous interest due to their broad applications in wearable devices. However, existing hydrogel‐based sensors cannot integrate satisfying mechanical performances with excellent conductivity to meet the requirements for practical application. Herein, an ionically conductive hydrogel with high strength, fast self‐recovery, and low residual strain is constructed through a facile soaking strategy. The proposed ionically conductive double network hydrogel is achieved by combining chemically crosslinked polyacrylamide and physically crosslinked gelatin network followed by sodium citrate solution immersing. The obtained hydrogel has a tensile strength of 1.66 MPa and an elongation of 849%. The ionically conductive hydrogels can be utilized as both strain and pressure sensors with high sensitivity. Moreover, they can be used as ionic skin to monitor various human movements precisely, demonstrating their promising potential in wearable devices and flexible electronics.

A single factorial experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of Chinese herbal medicines mixture (CHMM) on growth performance, digestive enzyme activity and immune response of Japanese seabass, Lateolabrax japonicus (initial weight 5.01 ± 0.32 g). The fish were fed diets containing six levels of CHMM (0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 g/kg) for 4 weeks. The results showed that the weight gain rate and specific growth rate (SGR) enhanced significantly in fish fed diet containing 8 g/kg CHMM (p < .05), while the feed conversion ratio (FCR) in the 4 and 8 g/kg CHMM groups reduced significantly compared with the control (p < .05). The body crude protein levels in 8 and 16 g/kg groups were significantly higher than the control (p < .05). The pepsin, amylase and lipase activities elevated significantly in the stomach of fish fed 8 g/kg CHMM, while the erepsin and lipase in the intestine of fish in 12 and 16 g/kg groups were higher significantly than the control (p < .05). The lysozyme, alkaline phosphatase, acid phosphatase (ACP), total antioxidative capacity activities in serum of fish fed 12 g/kg CHMM were higher significantly than those in the control (p < .05), while the total superoxide dismutase (SOD), total antioxidative capacity, catalase, alkaline phosphatase (AKP) and ACP activities in hepatopancreas of fish in 12 g/kg group were all significantly higher than those in the control (p < .05). Regression analysis showed that the relationships between dietary CHMM levels and either FCR, SGR, erepsin, pepsin or lysozyme activities were best expressed by quadratic or cubic regression equations, and the optimal inclusion levels are 11.4, 10.7, 10.7, 8.4 and 10.5 g/kg for maximum FCR, SGR, erepsin, pepsin and lysozyme activities, respectively. Under the present experimental condition, the optimal supplementary level of CHMM in the diet of Japanese seabass is 8-12 g/kg. Evodiamine, a major component of , has been reported to possess various pharmacological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidative stress, and neuroprotective effects. Our previous study has shown that the potential effects of evodiamine on the learning and memory impairments in the transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The present study was designed to investigate neuroprotective mechanism and therapeutic potential of evodiamine against intracerebroventricular streptozotocin (ICV-STZ)-induced experimental sporadic Alzheimer's disease in mice. STZ was injected twice intracerebroventrically (3 mg/kg ICV) on alternate days (day 1 and day 3) in mice. Daily oral administration with evodiamine (50 or 100 mg/kg per day) starting from the first dose of STZ for 21 days showed an improvement in STZ induced cognitive deficits as assessed by novel object recognition and Morris water maze test. Evodiamine significantly decreased STZ induced elevation in acetylcholinesterase activity and malondialdehyde level, and significantly increased STZ induced reduction in glutathione activities and superoxide dismutase activities in the hippocampus compared to control. Furthermore, evodiamine inhibited significantly glial cell activation and neuroinflammation (TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 levels) in the hippocampus. Moreover, evodiamine increased the activity of AKT/GSK-3β signalling pathway and inhibited the activity of nuclear factor κB. In summary, our study suggests that evodiamine can be a novel therapeutic agent for the management of sporadic AD.
