Herein, FePS 3 /reduced graphene oxide heterostructure has been prepared via a typical hydrothermal process, and flexible photodetectors based on hybrids have been subsequently fabricated. The photoresponse measurement results demonstrate that the photodetector exhibits obvious photoelectric conversion behavior without applied potential, indicating that the device possesses the capability to be self-powered. In addition, the photocurrent density of the asfabricated photodetectors reaches up to 125 nA cm −2 under 90 mW cm −2 illumination intensity without an external power source, which is 5.86 times higher than single FePS 3 -based devices. Furthermore, the maximum attenuation in photocurrent density of the as-fabricated flexible photodetectors measured at −0.3 V after different bending cycles and bending angles is 29.8% and 17.7%, respectively. These results demonstrate that the as-fabricated photodetectors have excellent flexibility and provide a simple and effective strategy for the construction of flexible photodetectors.

Metal phosphorus trichalcogenides, as a novel class of two-dimensional (2D) materials, attracted a lot of attention due to its antiferromagnetic ordering, excellent catalytic activity, and intrinsic electrical and optical properties. Herein, the FePS3 nanosheets exfoliated from the bulk counterpart by the sonication assisted liquid-phase exfoliation were applied in the photoelectrochemical-type (PEC) photodetector. The FePS3-based photoelectrode displays a short response time (rising time of 256 ms and decay time of 279 ms), large photocurrent density (3.2 μA cm–2), responsivity (31.94 μA cm–2 W–1), excellent long-term stability (more than 1000 s), and wide band detection (365–730 nm). Benefiting from the unique 2D structure of the FePS3 nanosheets and the flexibility of the PET substrate, the fabricated photoelectrode can maintain an outstanding photodetection performance after 500 cycles of bending and twisting. Furthermore, the PEC photodetector with a flexible sandwich structure was fabricated to make it more portable. This work promotes the application of 2D FePS3 nanosheets in optoelectronics and is of great significance to the practical application of the PEC device.
