It is significant to scientifically carry out the urban earthquake disaster reduction. According to the features of China urban earthquake disaster reduction, this paper designed the urban earthquake disaster reduction information management system, which proposed a system design idea, system composition and function structure. The system adopted the object-oriented language VB6.0 and the component set ArcGIS Engine provided by ESRI for development. We applied a variety of information techniques (GIS and database) for spatial information acquisition, analysis and computing, and drew up function modules corresponding to inquiry, spatial analysis, risk analysis and data management. By using this system we can achieve scientific management about the earthquake disaster information in storage and transportation engineering, draw up kinds of earthquake emergency decisions intellectually and make them visual, which improved the efficiency and velocity of earthquake emergency evidently, and assisted the decision-making system effectively for the earthquake emergency work .
The rapid development of science technology brings unlimited economic growth to humanity and meanwhile it leads to serious environmental safety problems threatening seriously the existence of humanity [1]. So, environmental safety problems have become the world's focuses and must be solved with the help of some certain scientific management systems for environmental information to ensure the realization of environmental safety. However, environmental information is so abundant, complicated, temporal, spatial and dynamic that makes traditional management and analysis methods invalid, thus, some new scientific methods must be adopted. To these problems above, this paper explores the solution of environmental safety problems by applying Environmental Geographic Information System (EGIS) to regional environmental safety information management and building regional Environmental Safety Information Management System. And taking the establishment of Daqing Oil Field ESIMS (DOFESIMS) for instance, this paper discusses its technology structures, mathematical models, functions and its function extension in detail for the purpose of provides the use for reference for the design and realization of regional environmental safety information management. DOFESIMS, based on the valid management of oil field environment, realizes to predict and analyze Daqing Oil Filed pollutant discharge state and display spatially results of analysis and prediction that proves further EGIS is effective to solve regional environmental safety information management [2].
