Efficient Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of N-(tert-Butylsulfinyl)imines Catalyzed by Amberlist-15. -A general, simple and efficient method for the synthesis of the title compounds by using Amberlite-15 as a heterogeneous catalyst is reported. This method is applied for the synthesis of racemic as well as chiral products from aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes. The new method can also be easily scaled up to prepare the products on a gram scale. -(SANABOINA, C.; JANA*, S.; EPPAKAYALA, L.; Synlett 25 (2014) 7, 1006-1008, http://dx.
A general and efficient methodology is reported for the synthesis of N-(tert-butylsulfinyl)imines by using the heterogeneous catalyst amberlist-15, under microwave irradiation. Amberlist-15 is easy to handle, safe to use and quickly separable from the reaction mixture. This method offers a number of advantages including operational simplicity, inexpensive catalyst, high yield of products, and broad substrate scope.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
