Este trabajo presenta resultados de la percepción docente sobre el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC), finalidad, frecuencia, nivel de dominio, impacto y disponibilidad para su implementación en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje. Participaron 365 docentes, que laboran en instituciones de Educación General Básica (EGB) Superior y Bachillerato General Unificado (BGU), seleccionados por métodos probabilísticos. Se elaboró un cuestionario que incluyó ítems de las cinco áreas contempladas en el marco conceptual TIC en Educación, del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID). Los resultados evidenciaron que los recursos más utilizados son: procesador de texto, hoja de cálculo, internet y presentaciones. Dichos recursos se emplean fundamentalmente para la gestión docente, con menor frecuencia para el aprendizaje asistido y escasamente para promover el aprendizaje autónomo del estudiante. En conclusión, los docentes priorizan el uso de las TIC en la planificación formal y como apoyo de clase, aún es necesario promover su incorporación a la gestión del aprendizaje.
El presente documento hace un abordaje teórico de lo que implica la evaluación de los aprendizajes, analiza las etapas de un proceso de evaluación, así como las funciones y tipos de evaluación que se presentan en el proceso educativo. Finalmente considerando que el Sistema Nacional de Educación ha experimentado una serie de cambios en su currículo en los últimos años se elabora una propuesta de las diferentes técnicas de evaluación con sus respectivos instrumentos que pueden ser aplicados en la evaluación de los aprendizajes en la asignatura de Matemáticas.
La clase de matemáticas está en un proceso de evolución, las clases tradicionales centradas en el profesor van perdiendo vigencia en la educación ecuatoriana, dando paso a clases que priorizan al estudiante y sus aprendizajes. Tradicionalmente el docente de matemáticas ha tenido formación profesional en áreas técnicas y poca capacitación en aspectos pedagógicos que le den habilidades para llevar adelante una clase fundada en paradigmas constructivistas del aprendizaje, centrados en el estudiante y la calidad de sus aprendizajes. Una clase constructivista de matemáticas implica tener un estudiante con una visión diferente a su formación tradicional, debe estar motivado por alcanzar aprendizajes significativos, para esto debe ser capaz de investigar, analizar, reflexionar, plantear soluciones creativas, resolver situaciones del contexto, formado en valores y que aporta al crecimiento de la sociedad.
Parte fundamental del proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje es la planificación, pues permite al docente guiar el aprendizaje de sus estudiantes, identificando los objetivos, destrezas y criterios de evaluación planteados en el currículo que van a ser abordados según el tema tratado, también permite indicar cuales son las estrategias metodológicas a ser aplicadas, los recursos a ser utilizados en el desarrollo del tema, los indicadores de logros de aprendizaje, es decir, aspectos que permiten identificar si los estudiantes adquirieron los conocimientos mínimos requeridos y las técnicas o instrumentos a ser utilizados para evaluar el nuevo conocimiento. Dentro de las estrategias metodológicas o actividades de aprendizaje es en donde se proponen la aplicación de cinco estrategias, que han mejorado los resultados en la enseñanza-aprendizaje de la matemática; dichas estrategias son: relación, experimentación, aplicación, cooperación y la transferencia, más conocidas por sus siglas como la REACT. La implementación de éstas dentro de la planificación marca la diferencia entre aulas tradicionalistas y constructivistas, siendo las últimas las que mejores resultados presentan dentro de la educación matemática.
El presente trabajo muestra los fundamentos principales y algunos aspectos metodológicos en un proyecto de investigación que involucra los procesos de modelación matemática y el uso de recursos tecnológicos en dos instituciones educativas. Las razones principales para llevar a cabo el proyecto han sido la reciente incorporación de la modelación matemática en el currículo ecuatoriano y la escasa investigación a nivel nacional que reporte las ventajas o desventajas de utilizar esta metodología en las aulas.Para la ejecución de la investigación se trabaja mediante la investigación-acción-participación, con un enfoque reflexivo y colaborativo del proceso.Este enfoque cuenta con la participación directa de los involucrados en el proceso de aplicación mediante foros de discusión, mesas redondas y paneles de trabajo.
