<p class="apa">The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of core training program on speed, acceleration, vertical jump, and standing long jump in female soccer players. A total of 40 female soccer players volunteered to participate in this study. They were divided randomly into 1 of 2 groups: core training group (CTG; n = 20) and control group (CG; n = 20). The mean (SD) age was 19.05 ± 1.15 years, height was 160.60 ± 4.22 cm, weight was 56.45 ± 3.33 kg, and sport age was 4.50 ± 1.24 for the core training group; the mean (SD) age was 18.55 ± 0.76 years, height was 159.10 ± 3.86 cm, weight was 52.20 ± 3.60 kg, and sport age was 3.35 ± 0.75 years for the control group. Following randomization, the 2 groups did not differ significantly (p&gt;0.05) in any of the dependent variables. The subjects in the control group did not participate in the training and participated only in the pre- and posttest measurements. To evaluate the effect of core training over the functional performance, we applied a testing procedure that included measurements of speed, acceleration, vertical jump, and standing long jump. The core training group showed a 3.4%, 5.9%, 13.3%, 4.2% improvement in speed, acceleration, vertical jump, and standing long jump (respectively) (P&lt;0.05), whereas the control group did not change (P&gt;0.05). In conclusion, Core exercises were improved speed, acceleration, vertical jump, and standing long jump in 18-19 years-old female soccer players. Therefore, it is believed core training is necessary for optimal sport performance and should not be dismissed for all sport branches.</p>

ÖZETBu araştı rmanın amacı futbolcu çocukların seçilmiş motorik özellikleri arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesidir. Çalışmaya Gaziantep ili Fenerbahçe spor okulunda futbol oynayan 40 sporcu çocuk gönüllü olarak katı lmıştı r. Çalışmada yer alan sporcuların yaşları ortalaması 14,40±1,74 yıl, boyları ortalaması 1,62±0,13 m, vücut ağırlıkları ortalaması 53,35±12,58 kg ve spor yaşları ortalaması 2,43±1,38 yıl olarak tespit edilmişti r. Sporcuların performansla ilgili motorik özelliklerinin belirlenmesinde; dikey sıçrama, durarak uzun atlama, 30 m hız koşusu, 30 sn mekik ve 30 sn şınav testleri uygulanmıştı r. Yapılan testler sonucunda; durarak uzun atlama ile dikey sıçrama, otuz saniye şınav ve esneklik özellikleri, dikey sıçrama ile esneklik özellikleri, otuz saniye şınav ile otuz saniye mekik özellikleri arasında aynı yönde bir ilişki olduğu istati sti ksel olarak tespit edilmişti r (P<0,05). Buna karşın, durarak uzun atlama ile otuz metre özellikleri, dikey sıçrama ile otuz metre özellikleri, otuz metre ile otuz saniye şınav ve esneklik özellikleriarasında zıt yönde bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmişti r (P<0,05). Sonuç olarak, futbolcu çocuklarda motorik özellikler arasındaki ilişkinin önemli olduğu ve performans açısından bu özelliklerin antrene edilmesi gerekti ği düşünülmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Çocuk, futbol, futbolcu, motorik özellik THE INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP AMONG SELECTED MOTORIC FEATURES OF CHILDREN SOCCER PLAYERS ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to examine the relationship among selected motoric features on children soccer players. Forty child soccer players playing football in Gaziantep Fenerbahçe sports school participated in the study voluntarily. The average age of the players was 14.40±1.74 years, their average height was 1.62±0.13 m, their average body weight 35±12.58 kg, and their average sport age was 2.43±1.38 years. In the determination of motoric features of the athletes, vertical jump test, standing long jump test, 30 m speed test, 30 sec sit-up, and push up test were administered. As a result of the tests conducted, positive relationship was found between standing long jump and vertical jump, 30 sec push up, flexibility and vertical jump with flexibility, 30 sec sit-up, and push up (P<0.05). On the other hand, negative relationship was found between 30 m speed with standing long jump, vertical jump, 30 sec push up and flexibility (P<0.05). As a conclusion, we are of the opinion that the relationship between motoric features in child soccer players is important and that these featured should be trained in terms of performance.

The aim of this study was to examine in visual and auditory reaction time of adolescents with respect to their academic achievement level. Five hundred adolescent children from the Turkey, (age=15.24±0.78 years; height=168.80±4.89 cm; weight=65.24±4.30 kg) for two hundred fifty male and (age=15.28±0.74; height=160.40±5.77 cm; weight=55.32±4.13 kg) for two hundred fifty female, participated as volunteer in this research. The audio and visual reaction time assessments were made by Newtest 1/1000 reaction timer. The reaction times of subjects were taken in same conditions. Academic achievement level was considered as grade average of lesson ninth and tenth class. Visual and auditory reaction time in right and left hand was significantly different between academic achievement score that is 50-60 grades, 61-70 grades, 71-80 grades, and 81≤ grades. When the visual and auditory reaction time for right and left hang was analyzed with respect to academic achievement of adolescent children, it was found that the visual and auditory reaction time for right and left hang of 81≤grades were better than the visual and auditory reaction time for right and left hang of 50-60, 61-70, and 71-80 grades (p < 0.05). Visual and auditory reaction time in right and left hand was significantly different between female and male (P<0.05). In conclusion, it is considered that male adolescents children' reaction time is better than female children. We can connect the motor skills could be developed than in female for adolescents. Also, when academic achievement increased reaction time could be decreased for adolescent children.

<p class="apa">The aim of study was to examine the effect of eight weekly aerobic exercises on auditory reaction time and maxvo₂ in visual impairments. Forty visual impairment children that have blind 3 classification from the Turkey, experimental group; (age=15.60±1.10 years; height=164.15±4.88 cm; weight=66.60±4.77 kg) for twenty subject and control group; (age=15.40±1.09; height=166.30±3.87 cm; weight=65.20±3.94 kg) for twenty subject, participated as volunteer in this research. The audio reaction time in dominant hand assessments were made by Newtest 1/1000 sensitive reaction timer. This study that used the 20-m shuttle run test to estimate peak oxygen consumption (VO₂max) for visual impairment children in experimental and control groups on a wooden gymnasium floor. Exercise intensity was determined according to the workload reached during the maximal graded exercise test. Reserve heart rate was calculated as the difference between peak and resting heart rate, multiplied by the intensity of exercise and added to resting heart rate, according to the Karvonen method. MaxVO₂was significantly different between experimental and control group in pre-test (P&lt;0.05). On the other hand, auditory reaction time was insignificant differences between experimental and control grouping pre-test (P&gt;0.05). Auditory reaction time and MaxVO₂was significantly different between pre-test and post-test in experimental group (P&lt;0.05). On the other hand, auditory reaction time and MaxVO₂was insignificant differences between pre-test and post-test in control group (P&gt;0.05). In conclusion, regular aerobic training programs in visual-impaired ones will lead to improvements in auditory reaction time and maximal oxygen capacity and sweep their disadvantages in comparison to their peers.</p>

The effect of an eight-weeks proprioception training programme on agility, quicknessand acceleration in this study which aims at determining the effect of an 8-weeks proprioceptive training on agility, quickness and acceleration, 13 students studying at the school of physical education and sports, aged 23.46 ± 2.57 on average, participated as an experimental group. 13 students studying at the school of physical education and sports, aged 22.39 ± 1.56 on average, also took part in this study as a control group. In the training program for developing proprioception, a multi-directional, inclined balance board was used for anterior/posterior, lateral/medial, clockwise and anti-clockwise movements. An eight-weeks training program, which comprised of 5 sec warm-up, 20 sec proprioceptive training and 5 sec cooling in a day, was performed for total 30 second for 3 days in a week. The first 5 meters for quickness, 10 and 15 meters for acceleration and for t-test for agility were considered, the measurements were obtained as pre-test and post-test ones. For the experimental group, before and after the training, the values were measured as 5 meters for quickness, 10 and 15 meters for acceleration and 1.09±0.05 sec and 1.03±0.05 sec, 1.92±0.11 sec and 1.80±0.11 sec, 2.61±0.12 sec and 2.48±0.08 sec, 10.69±0.64 sec and 10.13±0.35 sec for agility respectively. When compared to the values of quickness, acceleration and agility for the experimental group, a significant difference was found out (P<0.05). For the control group, before and after the training, the values were also given as 5 meters for quickness, 10 and 15 meters for acceleration and 1.05±0.08 sec and 1.04±0.05 sec, 1.88±0.05 sec and 1.89±0.08 sec, 2.53±0.11 sec and 2.52±0.12 sec, 10.26±0.54 sec and 9.97±0.34 sec for agility respectively. When compared to the values of quickness, acceleration and agility for the control group, no significant difference was found out (P>0.05). In conclusion, it was determined that an 8-weeks proprioceptive training developed the characteristics of quickness, acceleration and agility.
