La identificación de las necesidades de recurso humanos son determinadas por la sociedad, de acuerdo con las condiciones de desarrollo socio-económico, cultural y tecnológico, en el contexto histórico de una sociedad. La caraterización de ese recurso se deduce del análisis de la evolución histórica de esa sociedad específica, para determinar las demandas cualitativas y cuantitativas, actuales y futuras de prfesionales. Este análisis se denomina perfil académico profesional. Sus resultados permiten a las instituciones gubernamentales y privadas de distintos niveles y sectores, relacionadas tanto con la formación des sus recursos humanos con su utilización en los diferentes campos del desarrollo, definir políticas, estrategias y acciones para lograr los niveles de tales requerimientos.
La etiología de cáncer de cuello uterino constituye hoy en día uno de los muchos problemas a los cuales la epidemiología y la clínica pretenden dar una solución efectiva; prueba de ésto es la gran variedad de estudios realizados con tal fin.Sin embargo, una pregunta no resuelta en forma consistente es, si lo anovulatorios (hormonas) son factor de riesgo potencial y evidente en la etiología del cáncer de cuello uterino. Dicha dificulta podría atibuirse en gran parte a las limitaciones existentes para realizar estudios propectivos, los más indicados para dar una respuesta a hipótesis de tipo causal y a los múltiples factores de riesgo para cáncer de cervix que deberían controlarse, lo cual dificulta el diseño metodológico del estudio.
Se analizaron las diferencias en condiciones de vida, morbi-mortalidad, cobertura de servicios de salud, utilización de servicios médicos y gasto familiar en atención de salud en 211 familias del estrato medio alto y 294 familias del estrato bajo de la ciudad de Medellín. El precedimento para la obtención de información fue la entrevista domiciliaria a familias seleccionadas mediante muestreo aleatorio, de aquellas manzanas señalas por el DANE como pertenecientes a cada uno de los estratos estudiados. Se encontraron diferencias significativas entre los dos estaratos en algunas de las variables estudiadas, lo cual lleva a cuestionar los indicadores globales utilizados en la evaluacón de la situación socioecinómica y la situación de la salud, se destaca el hecho de que a medidad que aumentan los ingresos familiares, el gasto en salud es proporcionalmente menor. El estrato bajo, mostró asociación con mayor mortalidad infantil (0-14 años), menor atención médica al momento de la muerte y causas de muerte relacionadas con enfermedades carenciales e infecciosas; se confirma además, la poca accesibilidad a la consulta odontológica y se discuten las coberturas de vacunación en el estrato bajo.
