Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul öğrencilerinin rehberlik servisi ihtiyaçlarını belirlemek için ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Bu amaçla yapılan çalışmada Türk kültüründe geliştirilmiş olan Rehberlik Servisi İhtiyaç Analizi Envanteri (RSİAE) tanıtılmıştır. RSİAE'nin geçerlilik ve güvenirlilik çalışmalarında, envanter 586 kız, 591 erkek toplam 1177 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. RSİAE'nin yapı geçerliği için Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi (AFA) ve Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi (DFA) uygulanmıştır. Güvenirlilik katsayılarının belirlenmesi amacıyla hesaplanan Cronbach Alfa iç tutarlılık katsayıları .86 ile .94 arasında değişmektedir. Envanterin kararlılık düzeyleri iki hafta arayla yapılan test-tekrar test analizi sonucunda, alt boyutların ve envanterin tamamının kararlılık düzeylerinin .90 ile .95 arasında değiştiği görülmüştür. Envanterde yer alan maddelerin faktör yük değerleri .57 ile .76 arasında değişmektedir. RSİAE yedili Likert tipi bir formda (1=hiç katılmıyorum, 7=tamamen katılıyorum) hazırlanmıştır. RSİAE için, yapılan AFA sonucunda, üç faktör (eğitsel, mesleki ve kişisel/sosyal rehberlik) ve her bir faktörde 7 madde olmak üzere toplam 21 madde olarak belirlenmiştir. RSİAE toplam varyansın %58.627'sini açıklamaktadır. Yapılan DFA'da; üç faktörlü model için beklenen ve gözlenen kovaryans matrisi arasında anlamlı bir farkın olduğu, diğer parametrelere bakıldığında da uyum iyiliği değerlerinin kabul edilebilir veya mükemmel sınırlar içerisinde olduğu ve ölçme modelinin üç faktörlü yapısının doğrulandığı görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada RSİAE; geçerliğine ve güvenirliğine ilişkin çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak RSİAE'nin psikometrik özellikleri bu örneklem grubu için oldukça yeterli 1
