La presente investigación centró su estudio en la calidad hospitalaria y satisfacción de los usuarios de una institución de salud pública situado en el cantón Chone, provincia de Manabí-Ecuador, la cual obtuvo la acreditación “Oro” en el año 2018 otorgada por la organización “Canadian Commission on Hospital Accreditation”. Se estableció como objetivo analizar la forma en que el proceso de acreditación ha incidido en la atención al usuario del servicio de las instituciones de salud pública. Dentro de la metodología destaca la utilización de una encuesta de satisfacción al usuario en el año 2017, y el análisis de la matriz de Preguntas, Quejas, Sugerencias y Felicitaciones (PQSF) en los años 2018 y 2019, lo que permitió monitorear de una manera constante las insatisfacciones de los usuarios y la resolución de dichos eventos. Dentro de los resultados se encuentra que los indicadores de calidad hospitalaria mejoraron con el proceso de acreditación, además que el nivel de satisfacción de los usuarios es elevado con relación a los servicios que reciben, siendo el abastecimiento y farmacia los problemas más comunes para los usuarios. La conclusión generada indica que el proceso de acreditación permite tener un buen nivel de satisfacción de los usuarios, mejorando la calidad hospitalaria; además que el área gerencial y actividades administrativas tienen fuerte relevancia en los procesos de acreditación hospitalaria.
Introducción: Las actividades extracurriculares son aquellas ocupaciones no pertenecientes al currículo escolar, pero que influyen en la persona para desarrollar habilidades y capacidades recreativas donde pueden tener impacto en el estilo de vida de los estudiantes de enfermería. Objetivo: Demostrar la relación de las actividades extracurriculares con los estilos de vida de los estudiantes de enfermería de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. Métodos: Estudio descriptivo transversal a nivel relacional, realizado a estudiantes de Enfermería con una muestra de 221 estudiantes, obtenida por muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple sin reemplazo. Se utilizó el cuestionario "FANTASTICÒ”, con un Alfa de Cronbach de 0.789. Resultados: La edad promedio de la población estudiada fue de 20 años, predominando el sexo femenino con un 81.9%. El estilo de vida conforme a la autopercepción del estudiante fue bueno en un 52%; la mayoría de los estudiantes no realizaban actividades extracurriculares con un 55.2%. No se encontró asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el estilo de vida y las actividades extracurriculares (X2=0.603, p=.896). Conclusión: Las actividades extracurriculares no siempre serán significativas en el estilo de vida, ya que las mismas pueden ser positivas o negativas dependiendo de la autopercepción del estudiante en el estilo de vida, teniendo claro, como éste lleva a cabo sus actividades diarias dentro y fuera del ámbito escolar. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que las actividades extracurriculares no tienen impacto en la autopercepción del estudiante en su estilo de vida.
