The workplace is an ideal site for depression prevention programs since it enables the propagation of such interventions. Nevertheless, the evidence regarding their effectiveness is limited. This review is the first to evaluate the effectiveness of psychological and educational interventions to prevent depression in studies that excluded depressed patients at baseline. The results were moderately effective although the degree of evidence found was weak.
