RESUMO -Introdução:Os autores descrevem um caso de granuloma anular elastolítico de células gigantes (GAECG) em que esta entidade se associa a policitemia vera. As duas situações regrediram com a terapêutica com hidroxiureia. Caso clínico: Um homem de 63 anos com queixas de astenia, náuseas, dor no hipocôndrio/flanco direitos e emagrecimento acentuado desde há 4 meses. No mês anterior surgiram numerosas pápulas cutâneas eritematosas agrupadas na região dorso-lombar. Palpava-se esplenomegália. A investigação laboratorial permitiu o diagnóstico de policitemia vera (mutação JAK2 positiva na medula óssea). A biopsia cutânea foi compatível com GAECG. Foi iniciada terapêutica com hidroxiureia, com normalização hematológica e regressão das lesões cutâneas. Discussão: O GAECG é, na maioria dos casos, uma dermatose isolada mas pode associar-se a outras doenças sistémicas. O nosso caso é o primeiro descrito em associação com a policitemia vera. A regressão das duas situações à hidroxiureia pode consubstanciar uma possível relação. PALAVRAS-CHAVE -Granuloma de Células Gigantes; Policitemia Vera.
