Background: This quality improvement project focuses on patient understanding and involvement in Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) decisions. We suspected that there was a paucity of information about resuscitation decisions provided to all hospital inpatients, in particular those on geriatrics wards, where levels of frailty and cognitive impairment are high, and for whom these decisions may be particularly relevant.
