This paper's objective is to understand how deaf children interact in Childhood young children being taught in a Sao Paulo Public School that specializes in the education of deaf people. Interviews were also carried-out with the collection procedures, we analyzed the school's pedagogical-political project and conducted a guided activity with the children. Results revealed that interactions among deaf children occur naturally, since these children share the same language (sign language) and culture. The researched school aims to achieve respect of the deaf language, culture and identity, focusing on favoring the learning process of deaf children.
Este estudo analisou episódios interativos entre duas crianças surdas, seus pares ouvintes e uma professora de Educação Infantil. Pautou-se num estudo de caso de caráter qualitativo, por meio da observação de uma turma de Educação Infantil em uma instituição particular da rede regular de ensino, entrevistas com a professora desse grupo de crianças e a coordenadora, análise do Projeto Político Pedagógico e aplicação de uma atividade dirigida com as crianças. Os episódios analisados revelaram que as crianças surdas desenvolvem ações conjuntas, independentemente de serem surdos ou ouvintes, pelo uso de gestos, sinais e demonstrações, pois compartilham necessidades de interação semelhantes na mesma faixa etária. As mediações da professora ocorreram pelo uso da Libras para favorecer a aprendizagem das crianças surdas. Entretanto, observou-se como necessidade que a instituição decida qual abordagem de comunicação utilizar, se o bilinguismo sucessivo ou simultâneo.http://dx.doi.org/10.14572/nuances.v25i2.2738
