Visual impairment is defined as the partial or total loss of vision, which according to the World Health Organization may affect more than one billion people worldwide. 1,2 Visual impairment is considered a public health problem and is less common in children and adolescents. 1,2 Conversely, traumatic dental injuries (TDI) are a public health problem 3 and they are frequently observed in children and adolescents. 4 Such injuries can compromise function and aesthetics and they may even lead to tooth loss, thus negatively influencing the quality of life.
