O objetivo deste artigo é caracterizar os custos dos Serviços de Não-Auditoria - SNA das maiores empresas listadas na Bolsa de Valores de São Paulo - BM&FBOVESPA. Para a consecução deste trabalho foram utilizadas as informações divulgadas no Formulário de Referência - FR e no Relatório de Administração - RA, relativas ao ano de 2010, das 100 maiores empresas classificadas por valor de mercado, apresentadas na Revista Exame. Para identificar os elementos que caracterizam os grupos de empresas com diferentes custos de SNA evidenciados utilizou-se a análise de variância, avaliando-se a partir das variáveis ativo total, patrimônio líquido, resultado líquido e custos dos serviços de auditoria externa - SAE. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que os SNA mais utilizados pelas empresas são os de auditoria de impostos (31%). Por outro lado, os serviços de auditoria SOX detêm um custo expressivo, representando 16% do total de SNA, mas possuem uma baixa incidência, que pode ser justificada por uma preocupação recente com a governança corporativa. Uma preocupação com a evidenciação dos SNA pode surgir, pois 50% dos custos evidenciados pelas empresas compõem o grupo "outros serviços" e não são explicitados os tipos de serviços que fazem parte desse grupo. Além disso, foram encontradas incoerências de informações evidenciadas no FR e RA em 35% das empresas. Quanto às relações da variabilidade dos custos dos SNA, este estudo traz evidências de que os maiores custos dos SNA evidenciados pelas empresas da amostra estão naquelas em que os custos de SAE são maiores.
As empresas enfrentam novos desafios no que diz respeito ao cumprimento de normas éticas, trabalhistas e ambientais. Para que se tenha reputação no aspecto social e ambiental é fundamental que se transmita transparência e confiabilidade nas ações. Deste modo, as empresas devem disponibilizar as informações exigidas por lei, mas que não se restrinjam ao que determina a norma; informações adicionais podem ser divulgadas objetivando transparência das demonstrações contábeis. Nesse sentido, o presente artigo teve por objetivo identificar a significância financeira dos valores das con- tingências passivas e provisões ambientais evidenciadas em 295 empresas que negociam suas ações na Bolsa de Valores, Mercadorias e Futuros - BM&FBovespa S.A. e que são consideradas potencialmente poluentes de acordo com legislação brasileira que dispõe sobre a Política Nacional do Meio Ambiente. Para identificar o quanto os passivos contingentes representam financeiramente para as empresas investigadas foi calculado o fator de significância a partir da divisão entre as contingências ambientais e provisões com o lucro líquido. Quanto ao impacto que as contingências causariam se todas tivessem sua probabilidade de ocorrência como provável e devessem ser provisionadas, observa-se que 25% das empresas teriam seus lucros reduzidos em mais da metade e até mesmo obteriam prejuízos. Por outro lado, cerca de metade das empresas possui uma significância de até 7% em relação ao lucro líquido, inferindose que a relevância das contingências passivas ambientais para maior parte das empresas é baixa se relacionadas ao lucro líquido das mesmas.
<p align="LEFT">As questões relativas ao meio ambiente fizeram emergir preocupações socioambientais em todos os segmentos e, em especial, no empresarial, o que influenciou o aumento de pesquisas em determinadas áreas. No campo das Ciências Sociais Aplicadas não foi diferente; a demanda relativa a preocupações ligadas ao meio natural influenciou o aumento das pesquisas, cujas questões ligadas ao tema têm sido destaque. Este artigo teve por objetivo realizar um levantamento dos periódicos de língua inglesa e portuguesa, disponíveis no Portal de periódicos da capes, que apresentassem nos títulos termos relevantes e relacionados à questão ambiental.<br />Quanto à natureza, essa pesquisa caracteriza-se como descritiva e quanto aos procedimentos pode ser <span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Regular; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Regular; font-size: xx-small;">dita documental. Na escolha dos periódicos tomou-se como base a existência dos termos </span></span><em><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Italic; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Italic; font-size: xx-small;">“environmental”,<br /></span></span></em><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Italic; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Italic; font-size: xx-small;"><em>“sustainability” </em></span></span><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Regular; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Regular; font-size: xx-small;">e </span></span><em><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Italic; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Italic; font-size: xx-small;">“green” </span></span></em><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Regular; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="font-family: DanteMTStd-Regular; font-size: xx-small;">para os periódicos internacionais e, os relacionados a “ambiente/meio ambiente”, </span></span>“sustentabilidade/sustentável” e “verde” em periódicos nacionais. Foram encontrados 40 periódicos disponíveis no Portal. <br />Como resultado, constatou-se a existência de espaço para pesquisas na área de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas e sua relação com o meio ambiente no Brasil, visto que somente um periódico relacionado aos<br />termos examinados está disponível.</p><em><em></em></em><em></em>
