Die NS-Sprache gilt in Bezug auf den offiziellen Sprachgebrauch sowie auf charakteristische Sprachverwendungsweisen einzelner politischer Funktionsträger als weitgehend ausgeforscht. Dem Umstand, dass sich die Akteure im Nationalsozialismus aus unterschiedlichen Teilgemeinschaften und -kollektiven mit unterschiedlichen sprachlich manifest werdenden Erfahrungs-und Wahrnehmungshorizonten zusammensetzten, wurde dagegen bisher kaum Rechnung getragen. Um die Perspektive hinsichtlich der Beteiligten in diesem Sinn zu erweitern und somit zu einem differenzierten Bild der sprachlichen Wirklichkeit der Jahre 1933 bis 1945 zu gelangen, hatten Heidrun Kämper (Mannheim) und Britt-Marie Schuster (Paderborn) zur Tagung "Sprachliche Sozialgeschichte des Nationalsozialismus -Themen und Zugänge" eingeladen, die am 7. und 8. April 2017 am Institut für Deutsche Sprache (IDS) in Mannheim stattfand. Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet, aus Japan, Schweden, Italien und den Niederlanden kamen zusammen, um sich über ihre laufenden oder geplanten Forschungsprojekte zu diesem Themenkomplex auszutauschen und linguistische
