The main objective of the research is to suggest the use of unstructured meshes in the SWAN wave model because structured meshes require more adjustments in geographically small areas such as rivers, beaches or even bays. Third-party tools and data such as bathymetry, Meteorological Research Forecast (WRF), WaveWatch III (WWIII) and Simulating Waves Nearshore (SWAN) models were used to carry out the research. The aforementioned software and its own developments were used in Acapulco Bay, Guerrero, Mexico for the elaboration of maps that would serve as input in the generation of Delaunay diagrams, which in turn were fundamental parts in the configuration of the experiments and, with this, perform the analysis on the images of the simulations. With the results obtained, it is expected to confirm the validity of the wave data for the bay; therefore, it is considered a useful tool in the process of analysing the natural phenomena present in the port.
Plastic Container Manufacturing Process, many equipment has been developed for the detection of defects, for example: vision cameras, pressure test leak testers, colorimeters, hermeticity cameras, etc. each form is designed to detect a specific defect, it is updated as technology improves. Currently, the industry has opted for the use of microcontrollers that help automate industrial processes, one of the most used micros is Arduino due to its simplicity of programming and low cost of operation. The objective of this work is to apply an Arduino system for the monitoring of pressure leak testers in plastic containers. Finally, the paper shows the possible change of a particular system based on PLC with ladder logic language, by a simple system based on microcontrollers.
Storm surge is a phenomenon that occurs on coasts with a higher incidence in the rainy season. The factors that promote its appearance are the wind and the tide whose force has been sometimes catastrophic. The objective of the study is to provide a storm surge forecast using the SWASH numerical model for some points on the Mexican Pacific coast. The approach of the experiment refers to previous works that use the infrastructure and data available from NOAA and SEMAR; the use of unstructured meshes used in a wave model to conclude in a beach wave model. In the validation of the results, the tide gauges of the study locations will be used; with the feedback obtained, the necessary adjustments are expected until the model has at least 60% correct measurements. Some authors agree that global warming affects the power with which the phenomenon has been manifesting itself, so that the development of technology could help minimize the consequences.
Artificial neural networks are a set of tools that are widely used for the information classification. Its expansion within artificial intelligence has been due to its use in the Machine Learning area. A fundamental part of the artificial neural networks algorithm is the so-called activation function, the above because it is the part that triggers the process as a whole and due to its result the neuron/perceptron sends its outputs. Back-propagation activation function of an artificial neural network is also described; this is artificial neural network with a simpler functioning whose adaptation has made it especially attractive to pattern recognition; also, a different algorithm such as Swish is introduced. As part of the pattern recognition study, three wind classifications present on the Mexican Republic Atlantic coast are formed, each group is made up of graphic files referring to meteorological maps with wind indicators in order to feed the network and as new maps are generated, the Artificial Neural Network will be an aid in the meteorological patterns detection.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
