Este artículo tiene como objeto analizar la “peronización” de las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias (FAR), organización de origen marxista y cuyos principales líderes intentaron participar del proyecto guerrillero continentalista y de corte rural impulsado por Ernesto Guevara en Bolivia. Ante el fracaso de éste, dichos militantes redefinieron su estrategia revolucionaria, hecho que los llevó a conformar las FAR que aparecen públicamente en 1970 como una organización armada urbana. Rápidamente asumieron el peronismo como su identidad política reconociéndola como la experiencia de la clase obrera argentina y como medio de dotar de efectividad a su estrategia revolucionaria, fenómeno que llevó a un acercamiento con los otros sectores revolucionarios peronistas y que culminó con la fusión dentro de la organización Montoneros en 1973.
<p>Este trabajo se propone realizar un análisis exhaustivo y sistemático de los hechos armados protagonizados por las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias (FAR), organización político-militar de actuación en la Argentina durante los primeros años ´70. Con dicho objetivo en miras, efectuamos un relevamiento estadístico de la operatoria armada desplegada por las FAR y examinamos sus características más salientes. Esto nos permitió, entre otros elementos, situarla como una de las tres principales organizaciones armadas revolucionarias del período. Seguidamente, desentrañamos la especificidad de los operativos por medio de una categorización por medio de la cual logramos identificar quince tipos y diez sub-tipos de hechos armados diferentes. La labor llevada a cabo y la tipología propuesta, al ser plausible de ser extendida al análisis de otras organizaciones o de la práctica de la lucha armada en general, es una vía efectiva para empezar a cubrir un vacío existente en la bibliografía especializada. Para cumplir la tarea planteada utilizamos como fuentes: documentos de la organización, prensa militante, prensa comercial y legajos de inteligencia de las fuerzas policiales.</p>
