Guerras irrestricta e híbrida en los desafíos a la seguridad y defensa nacionales * * Este capítulo presenta los resultados del proyecto de investigación "La guerra asimétrica, híbrida e irrestricta: Retos, amenazas y desafíos para los Estados, la seguridad y defensa regional", del grupo de investigación "Masa Crítica", de la Escuela Superior de Guerra "General Rafael Reyes Prieto", categorizado como A1 por MinCiencias y con código de registro COL0123247. Los puntos de vista pertenecen a los autores y no reflejan necesariamente los de las instituciones participantes.Resumen: El presente capítulo tiene por objetivo contextualizar el surgimiento de las nuevas estrategias revolucionarias que emergen en el contexto latinoamericano, por medio de las cuales se consolida una inestabilidad regional categórica y una amenaza a la institucionalidad. El manuscrito emplea un método de análisis deductivo que prioriza los acontecimientos actuales con los postulados doctrinales sobre las nuevas generaciones de la guerra y concluye que las confrontaciones irregulares fragmentan los cimientos de los Estados, exhortando a un cambio de paradigma interpretativo y estratégico, en el entendido de que las respuestas a las amenazas híbridas obligan a emplear respuestas más novedosas que los medios y métodos habituales. Particularmente, es menester encausar las respuestas estatales en la innovación de las capacidades convencionales, pues en ocasiones resultan insuficientes o mínimamente efectivas.
