A presente tese tem por objetivo apresentar a ideia de que repetição é categoria religiosa associada à fé e está presente, de forma incipiente, na obra que o nomeia já a partir de seu título, A repetição. De autoria do pensador dinamarquês Søren Aabye Kierkegaard (1813-1855), a produção aborda a possibilidade da repetição como categoria filosófica e existencial pelo pseudônimo Constantin Constantius. A narrativa percorre suas reflexões e sua busca pela repetição nas próprias experiências estéticas. Em decorrência do insucesso de sua empreitada, imagina um jovem como objeto de sua análise e que, como resultado de uma frustração amorosa, igualmente deseja a repetição. Posteriormente, ao alegar o jovem tê-la encontrado, a publicação termina ao afirmar que lhe faltou a irrupção do religioso, sem concluir sobre as condições de possibilidade da repetição e suas características específicas. Para elucidar tais questões a propósito desta categoria, esta tese investiga primeiramente o pensamento filosófico, as condições existenciais e as questões de Constantius a respeito da repetição. Em seguida, a repetição como problema existencial do jovem imaginado é analisada à luz da interioridade demonstrada diante da frustração amorosa e da expectativa de uma solução religiosa. O significado da repetição no pensamento mais amplo de Kierkegaard é identificado, a seguir, pela dialética existencial presente em conceitos metafísicos apresentados por Constantius, fundamentalmente como movimento entre eternidade e temporalidade, e liberdade e realidade. Por fim, a repetição é concebida como categoria religiosa por suas conexões com os conceitos de instante, paradoxo e, especialmente, fé, como presente na tipologia kierkegaardiana dos personagens bíblicos Job e Abraão. Conclui-se, assim, que repetição, como movimento religioso e seriedade da existência nas palavras de Constantius, consiste em paixão, páthos ético-existencial da fé.
O GT “Filosofia da Religião” no CONACIR propõe promover, a reunião de diferentes pesquisadores para discutir reflexões, de cunho filosófico, relativos aos modos de percepção e apreensão do fenômeno religioso. Em vista desse propósito, apresenta-se dois eixos temáticos, sendo: 1) a relação entre fé e razão; 2) conceitos filosóficos ligados a contemporaneidade e o futuro da religião. O GT se caracteriza, de modo geral, pela investigação filosófica do fenômeno religioso em suas múltiplas possibilidades de abordagem e compreensão, a saber: fenomenológica, hermenêutica, teológica ou comparativa. Serão aceitos trabalhos de estudantes de pós-graduação (mestrado e doutorado) das áreas de Ciência da Religião, Filosofia e Teologia para comunicação oral e trabalhos de estudantes de graduação das mesmas áreas para apresentação de banner científico, dispostos a pensar as representações do fenômeno religioso e o futuro da religião.
Temor e tremor é obra contemporânea de A repetição e três discursos edificantes, escritas em 1843. É uma das mais conhecidas e prestigiadas pelo público, dentre a vasta produção de Soren Kierkegaard. Com introdução, notas e tradução direta do texto original dinamarquês feitas por Elisabete M. de Sousa, a Relógio D’Água Editores disponibiliza ao mundo lusófono uma edição crítica recente dessa importante obra. Não por acaso, as publicações citadas compõem uma tríade fundamental para o estudo do pensador da Dinamarca: apresentam algumas das principais categorias kierkegaardianas, dentre elas, fé, paradoxo, salto, repetição, provação, indivíduo. Na introdução, Sousa comenta algumas destas.
