Ante el aumento considerable de la investigación educativa centrada en la identificación de situaciones escolares generadoras de ansiedad y factores que desmotivan al alumnado en su proceso de aprendizaje de las matemáticas, resulta necesario profundizar en esta relación para así poder paliar las dificultades que los estudiantes encuentran en esta materia. Concretamente, el presente trabajo de investigación se propuso examinar la capacidad de predicción de las atribuciones de los resultados en matemáticas a la capacidad, el esfuerzo y causas externas sobre la ansiedad a la evaluación. Se reclutó una muestra de 621 participantes con edades comprendidas entre los 12 y los 18 años (M =14.79; DE = 1.83). Los estudiantes seleccionados respondieron a los factores referidos a las situaciones generadoras de ansiedad a la evaluación que incluye el Inventario de Ansiedad Escolar, además de responder a la Escala de Atribución de Sydney. Una vez ejecutados los análisis de regresión logística, se obtuvo que los estudiantes tienen mayor probabilidad de manifestar ansiedad a la evaluación conforme aumenta su tendencia a atribuir los fracasos en el área de matemáticas a la capacidad y el esfuerzo. Sin embargo, el alumnado posee menor probabilidad de manifestar ansiedad ante situaciones de evaluación cuando tiende a atribuir sus éxitos en el área de matemáticas a la capacidad y al esfuerzo. Estos resultados permiten concluir que el profesorado de matemáticas debe poseer las competencias necesarias para hacer al alumno comentarios adecuados sobre sus resultados y que así el alumnado sienta motivación por continuar aprendiendo matemáticas sin miedo a las situaciones de evaluación.
Muchos estudiantes manifiestan a lo largo de su escolarización tanto ansiedad al anticipar fracasos y conflictos escolares, como atribuciones ante sus resultados académicos que pueden distar de la realidad. Dado que este alumnado necesita recuperar su entusiasmo por aprender y convivir en el ámbito educativo, debe profundizarse en la relación entre la ansiedad y las atribuciones. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la probabilidad de experimentar ansiedad al fracaso y el conflicto escolar según la tendencia a atribuir los resultados académicos en matemáticas. Participaron 715 estudiantes cuyas edades comprendieron los 12 y los 18 años (M =14.59; DE = 1.78). La muestra respondió al Inventario de Ansiedad Escolar, concretamente a las dimensiones referidas a la ansiedad al fracaso y el conflicto, y también cumplimentaron la Escala de Atribución de Sydney. Se obtuvo que aquellos estudiantes que tienden a atribuir sus resultados negativos en el área de matemáticas a causas internas poseen una mayor probabilidad de experimentar ansiedad ante los fracasos y conflictos. Además, los estudiantes que tienden a atribuir sus resultados positivos a causas internas y externas poseen una menor probabilidad de experimentar ansiedad ante los fracasos y conflictos escolares. Como conclusión, en las programaciones didácticas debe considerarse que se debe dedicar un tiempo a hacer reflexionar al alumnado sobre las causas realistas de sus resultados en matemáticas, y poder así evitar que manifiesten ansiedad al fracaso y conflicto.
La ansiedad escolar consiste en un conjunto de respuestas de tipo cognitivo, conductual y psicofisiológico que los estudiantes emiten cuando perciben situaciones del ámbito escolar como una amenaza. Aunque el alumnado puede tener mayor probabilidad de manifestar respuestas de ansiedad escolar según su estilo atribucional en el área de Lenguaje, la literatura científica existente sobre la relación entre ambos constructos en la adolescencia es limitada. El presente estudio se propuso examinar la capacidad predictiva de las atribuciones causales en Lenguaje sobre las tres respuestas de ansiedad escolar: ansiedad cognitiva, ansiedad conductual y ansiedad psicofisiológica. Se administró el Inventario de Ansiedad Escolar (IAES) y la Sydney Attribution Scale (SAS) a 586 estudiantes de entre 12 y 18 años (M =14.82; DE = 1.86). Los modelos de regresión logística revelaron valores de la odd ratio (OR) superiores a 1 para el fracaso en lenguaje atribuido al esfuerzo y a la capacidad en ansiedad cognitiva, ansiedad conductual y ansiedad psicofisiológica. Los valores de la OR para el resto de las atribuciones causales examinadas fueron inferiores a 1 en las tres respuestas de ansiedad escolar. Por tanto, se concluye que al aumentar las puntuaciones en atribuciones de éxitos y fracasos en lenguaje a causas externas disminuye la probabilidad de presentar alta ansiedad cognitiva, alta ansiedad conductual y alta ansiedad psicofisiológica. Sin embargo, a medida que aumentan las puntuaciones en las variables de atribuciones causales de los fracasos a causas internas aumenta la probabilidad de presentar altos niveles en las tres respuestas de ansiedad. Estos hallazgos facilitarán el diseño de intervenciones dirigidas a cambiar el estilo atribucional de los adolescentes hacia atribuciones causales adaptativas.
En el área de matemáticas el alumnado puede atribuir sus resultados académicos de éxito y fracaso a múltiples causas. Según las dimensiones causales que tengan estas autoatribuciones, la probabilidad de que los estudiantes experimenten ansiedad cognitiva, conductual y psicofisiológica puede aumentar o disminuir. A pesar de la importancia de estudiar estos constructos para comprender mejor el comportamiento de los alumnos, pocos trabajos han abordado su relación en la etapa de la adolescencia. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la capacidad predictiva de las autoatribuciones causales en matemáticas sobre la ansiedad cognitiva, la ansiedad conductual y la ansiedad psicofisiológica. Se reclutó una muestra de 432 adolescentes con edades comprendidas entre los 12 y los 18 años (M =14.74; DE = 1.69). Los participantes respondieron al Inventario de Ansiedad Escolar (IAES) y a la Sydney Attribution Scale (SAS) de forma voluntaria y anónima. Diversos modelos de regresión logística informaron del valor de odd ratio (OR) superior a 1 para la autoatribución del fracaso en matemáticas al esfuerzo y a la capacidad en las tres respuestas de ansiedad examinadas. El valor de OR fue inferior a 1 para el resto de autoatribuciones causales de éxitos y fracasos en ansiedad cognitiva, conductual y psicofisiológica. Estos resultados evidencian que conforme se incrementan las puntuaciones en autoatribuciones causales de éxitos y fracasos en matemáticas a causas externas, la probabilidad de manifestar altos niveles de ansiedad cognitiva, ansiedad conductual y ansiedad psicofisiológica es menor. Por el contrario, conforme aumentan las puntuaciones en las autoatribuciones causales de los fracasos en matemáticas a causas internas, la probabilidad de experimentar altos niveles de ansiedad cognitiva, conductual y psicofisiológica es mayor. Como consecuencia, para prevenir la ansiedad resulta necesario intervenir en el tipo de autoatribuciones causales escogidas por el alumnado.
La ansiedad es uno de los trastornos emocionales con mayor relevancia en la población, teniendo en cuenta la excesiva exigencia marcada por la sociedad actual. Esta exigencia desmedida marcada, en ocasiones, por un rasgo de la personalidad perfeccionista, todavía tiende a agravar más si cabe los estados ansiosos y estresantes del individuo. En este sentido, es importante tener presente la etapa estudiantil la cual se enfrenta continuamente a situaciones estresantes. Por ello, es conveniente observar cuál es el vínculo entre las variables perfeccionistas, regidas por el Perfeccionismo Socialmente Prescrito (PSP) y el Perfeccionismo Auto-Orientado (PAO) y la Ansiedad Escolar, compuesta, entre otras, por la Ansiedad ante la agresión y la Ansiedad ante el fracaso escolar y las sanciones disciplinarias. De ahí que el objetivo del presente estudio sea observar si existen diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre el Factor I y II del Inventario de Ansiedad Escolar (IAES) y el PSP y PAO, así como determinar la probabilidad de presentar altas puntuaciones en ambos factores de la Ansiedad Escolar en función del PSP y el PAO. Para ello, se reclutó una muestra de 1588 estudiantes ecuatorianos y se utilizaron medidas como el IAES y el Child and Adolescent Perfectionism Scale (CAPS). Los resultados arrojaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas para el Factor I y II del IAES tanto en PSP como en PAO, siendo estas de baja y moderada magnitud. Asimismo, se observa que a medida que aumenta el PSP y el PAO aumenta la posibilidad de presentar elevadas puntuaciones en Ansiedad ante la agresión y en Ansiedad ante el fracaso escolar y las sanciones disciplinarias. En conclusión, los hallazgos muestran que es necesario incrementar el número de estudios en variables perfeccionistas en el país de Ecuador, teniendo en cuenta su vínculo con la Ansiedad Escolar y lo que ello conlleva.
