O estudo proposto tem como objetivo delimitar e discutir os fatores que determinam o processo de transferência de tecnologia na área de Bioeconomia através de um estudo de caso realizado na Embrapa Milho e Sorgo. Neste sentido, primeiramente, foi feita uma revisão da literatura no sentido de definir o conceito e o escopo da área da Bioeconomia, caracterizar o processo de transferência tecnológica, assim como identificar a existência de publicações que tratassem especificamente da transferência de tecnologia na referida área. Em seguida, foi realizada uma pesquisa documental e enviados questionários a profissionais da organização envolvidos com o processo, em obediência à metodologia de pesquisa qualitativa definida. Os dados coletados foram tratados e codificados com a utilização do software MAXQDA 2020, segundo um conjunto de categorias de análise previamente definidas a partir da literatura. Por sua vez, os resultados indicaram a proeminência, na percepção dos respondentes, de fatores organizacionais/institucionais, tais como o papel da qualificação da tecnologia, do contexto social, econômico, político e regional no qual ocorrerá a pesquisa, desenvolvimento e negociação da tecnologia; e de fatores mercadológicos, como o acesso ao mercado, a interface academia-indústria e o apoio à inovação, como fatores determinantes para a realização e sucesso dos processos de transferência de tecnologia na área de Bioeconomia.
