RESUMOEste estudo qualitativo exploratório, realizado por meio de pesquisa documental, aborda o tema surdocegueira, objetivando verificar que informações são veiculadas acerca de estudantes surdocegos em artigos acadêmicos publicados no Brasil, entre os anos de 2001 e 2014, disponibilizados no site de periódicos da Capes. Há o intuito de compreender se essas informações oferecem subsídios à atuação de professores, conforme os aspectos indicados pelos referenciais teóricos. Sete artigos acadêmicos foram encontrados. A metodologia de Análise de Conteúdo (BARDIN, 1988) foi adotada e durante a pré-análise algumas categorias foram definidas, sendo elas: diagnóstico, comunicação e interação social. A partir dessa categorização os documentos sofreram a fragmentação, possibilitando a compreensão de que informações são veiculadas acerca do processo educacional de estudantes surdocegos. Com esse trabalho foi possível compreender a importância de estabelecer redes de apoio à escolarização desses estudantes, em que o professor da sala regular e demais profissionais, família e comunidade interajam na promoção de propostas pedagógicas que favoreçam a comunicação e interação social, com vistas à aprendizagem. Conclui-se, também, que são escassas as fontes de informações, mas o professor que busca incluir todos os estudantes, tentará compreender possibilidades de comunicação, e assim, recursos educacionais e de acessibilidade podem ser explorados.Palavras-chave: Surdocegueira; Educação Inclusiva; Docência. ABSTRACTThis exploratory qualitative study, accomplished through documentary research, approach a desability little known by education professionals, the deafblindness. The objective of this research was to verify between academic publications available in the journals of Capes, which information is conveyed about deafblind students. For thus understand if this information offer support to the performance of teachers, according to the aspects indicated by the theoretical references. To accomplish the understanding of the phenomenon under study, from the analysis of eight academic articles found, The Content Analysis methodology (BARDIN, 1988) was used, which provides for the categorization, from the information extracted from the selected documents guided by the theoretical reference, during the pre-analysis. From this categorization the documents suffered fragmentation, making it possible to understand what information is conveyed about the educational process of deafblind students. With this work it was possible to understand the importance of establishing networks to support the schooling of these students, where the regular classroom teacher and other school professionals, family and community interact in the promotion of pedagogical proposals that favor communication and social interaction, in the pursuit of learning and development of deafblind students.
