Eine sprachsensible Kommunikationskultur kann am Übergang vom Kindergarten in die Grundschule durch das dialogische Lesen und im weiteren Verlauf durch den Einsatz von Scaffolds unterstützt werden, um Leistungsdiskrepanzen aufgrund von Sprache zu verringern. Das dialogischen Lesen erweist sich als eine wirksame Methode, insbesondere auf lexikalischer und morphologisch-syntaktischer Ebene sowie im Bereich der schriftsprachlichen Vorläuferfähigkeiten (Mol et al., 2009). Das Scaffolding (Gibbons, 2015) zeigt in kleineren Studien seine Wirksamkeit zur Entwicklung bildungssprachlicher Kompetenzen (Brown & Ryoo, 2008; Bulgren et al., 2002; Patterson, 2001). Die Herausforderungen der durchgeführten Studien liegen jedoch in der Übertragbarkeit der Ergebnisse auf andere Unterrichtsfächer und der umfangreichen Berücksichtigung sozialer Einflussfaktoren (Beese & Benholz, 2013). Sowohl das dialogische Lesen als auch der Einsatz von Scaffolds können als geeignete Methoden zur Anbahnung und Umsetzung einer sprachsensiblen Kommunikationskultur ihre Anwendung finden, um bildungssprachliche Kompetenzen bei Schüler*innen der Primarstufe zu fördern. Es gilt zu berücksichtigen, dass das dialogische Lesen in jüngeren Altersgruppen effektiver ist (Mol et al., 2008) und der Einsatz von Scaffolds vor allem mit dem Schriftspracherwerb und der zunehmenden Verwendung der Bildungssprache an Bedeutung gewinnt.
