The synthesis and characterization of two 1,2‐azaborine‐containing phosphine ligands are described. The structural and electronic parameters of the two ligands were compared with those of their direct all‐carbon analogues using X‐ray crystallography and UV‐photoelectron and IR spectroscopy. Our results indicate that the azaborine‐containing ligands are significantly stronger electron donors than their corresponding carbonaceous counterparts, while the steric parameters remain similar.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
