RESUMOO estudo corresponde a um estudo descritivo. Os dados foram coletados no Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde, a partir disso esses dados correspondem aos anos de janeiro de 2010 a dezembro de 2020. Os dados que foram utilizados de relevância foram os dados sobre internações, óbitos, a faixa etária, sexo e raça dos pacientes para análise. O estudo objetivou elucidar a relação entre internações e óbitos por doenças inflamatórias intestinais no Distrito Federal entre os anos de 2010 e 2020. No que se refere à internação por Doença de Crohn e colite ulcerativa, 2010 foi o ano com maior número de internações (182), em oposto a 2015 que teve o menor número (85). Com relação ao sexo, no sexo masculino houve uma maior estatística de mortos totalizando 12 pessoas, enquanto no sexo feminino 6 óbitos, duas vezes (50%) menos que no sexo masculino. O presente estudo demonstrou que o perfil epidemiológico dos pacientes com DII no Distrito Federal tem predomínio entre indivíduos com idade entre 20 e 40 anos, tendo distribuição semelhante para ambos os sexos. Por meio disso, ocorre uma relação entre a etnia que gera um desacordo com outros estudos devido às características da população brasileira. Dessa forma, é possível que haja uma dissociação entre ancestralidade e aparência física o que sinaliza que a autodeclaração não esteja adequada à realidade étnica.
