People with visual impairments experienced workplace discrimination, yet most of the charges were not substantiated by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, indicating the need for targeted education and advocacy for this vulnerable population to achieve parity with their non–visually disabled peers in the workplace.

Associations of discrimination charges filed before and after the Americans With Disabilities Act Amendments Act suggest interventions should target retention aspects of work, the largest growing category of discrimination.

This study explored perspectives of OTs at a skilled-nursing facility regarding the use of standardized assessments during patient evaluation. Study results revealed that clinical observations are the chosen method of evaluation to support billing procedures using new CPT codes. Participants indicated that despite the value of objective measurements, they cannot ignore the pressures of time and productivity.
