O presente estudo trata-se de uma análise fílmica que busca investigar o documentário “Prison With no locks”, visando verificar as interfaces da ressocialização do sistema prisional brasileiro, através da Associação de Proteção e Assistência ao Condenado (APAC). O estudo divide-se em três capítulos. No primeiro momento é feita uma reflexão sobre o Sistema Prisional e o método APAC, explorando-se o método APAC, como um modelo de sistema prisional humanitário que não possui a rigorosidade do sistema tradicional. E por fim, investiga-se os vínculos familiares, a reinserção comunitária e o processo de reintegração através da profissionalização e religião. Conclui-se que apesar da APAC objetivar o fortalecimento de vínculos do sujeito com a sociedade e familiares, ainda disputa com a cultura da punição e desintegração do sujeito. Além disso, ainda há um enfoque religioso unidirecional e pouca atuação com o público feminino.
