A endometriose é uma condição ginecológica crônica comum definida como a presença de glândulas endometriais funcionais e lesões semelhantes a estroma fora do útero. Acomete, principalmente mulheres no período fertil entre 25 e 29 anos, não sendo raro, contudo, a manifestação em adolescentes. O quadro clínico é variável, sendo que algumas
síndrome de Cockayne, de 12 anos, mostrando uma imagem, com retardo psicomotor e de crescimento, distúrbios motores, sensoriais e de linguagem. CONCLUSÃO: A Síndrome de Cockayne é uma enfermidade rara, autossômica recessiva. De difícil diagnóstico, pois os sinais e sintomas surgem de forma lenta e progressiva.
