Results of this study show that a large proportion (73%) of patients have rapid and successful immune and virological responses to ART and that factors which predict this response include starting ART early, whereas viral load is low and CD4 count is high, with fewer drugs. These results further support the ongoing need for ongoing programmes to increase early HIV testing, early linkage to and treatment with ART, and increased viral suppression.
SummaryBackground: Quality indicators (QI) for cardiac surgery are important instruments for measuring healthcare quality in hospital centers and allow comparison with high-quality healthcare centers.
Objective -To evaluate whether left ventricular endsystolic (ESD) diameters ≤ 51mm in patients (pt) with severe chronic mitral regurgitation (MR) are predictors of a poor prognosis after mitral valve surgery (MVS).
Methods -
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
