Portions of thisCE-PA also provides a seismic hazard information data base, including uniform hazard spectra, seismic hazard results for selected magnitude and distance bands, and magnitude-distance distribution functions..
-.The package is comprised of a series of programs that are used sequentially. After performing a probabiktic seismic hazard analysis with the 1993 LLNL methodology, total hazard results and de-aggregated hazard results for a matrix of magnitude-distance pairs are obtained. Then, using total hazard results, CE-PA extracts ground motion levels associated w i t h a user-input reference probability of exceedance for spectral accelerations at lHz, 2.5Hz, SHz, and 1OHz. At these four ground motion levels CE-PA calculates the contribution to the total seismic hazard of earthquakes in a selected set of magnitude and distance bins. Next the package calculates the mean magnitude and distance of the controlling earthquakes for the average of 1 to 2.5 Hz and 5 to 10 Hz.The program can assess controlling earthquakes for a set of pre-compiled seismic hazard data at existing nuclear power plant sites or new sites.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
