Zusammenfassung Die Betreuung von palliativen Patienten beansprucht zwischenmenschliche Ressourcen und Beziehungen im besonderen Ma?e. In einer Situation der baldigen Trennung von gewohnten Strukturen und Beziehungen kann das Grundbed?rfnis nach Schutz und Sicherheit jedoch nur bedingt durch zwischenmenschliche N?he vermittelt werden. In diesem Artikel werden zwei Arten der Unsicherheit (Trennungsunsicherheit und transzendente Unsicherheit) beschrieben, mit denen palliative Patienten ringen. Die Vermittlung von Sicherheit bzw. der Umgang mit Unsicherheit wird dabei aus einer bindungsdiagnostischen und einer religionspsychologischen Perspektive beleuchtet. Ziel ist es, den Leser gegen?ber der Erkennung und dem Umgang mit diesen Unsicherheiten zu sensibilisieren und dadurch einen Beitrag zu einer ganzheitlichen Versorgung zu leisten, die psychosoziale und spirituell/religi?se Bed?rfnisse ber?cksichtigt.
