Anilines react with an array of trialkylamines in the presence of a catalytic amount of RuCl 3 •nH 2 O and bis(diphenylphosphino)methane together with SnCl 2 •2H 2 O and hex-1-ene as hydrogen acceptor in dioxane at 180 °C to afford the corresponding 2,3-disubstituted quinolines in moderate to good yields.
Anilines react with 3‐amino‐1‐propanol in dioxane in the presence of a catalytic amount of a ruthenium catalyst and tin(II) chloride dihydrate together with a hydrogen acceptor to afford the corresponding quinolines in moderate yields.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
