Bu araştırmanın amacı, otel çalışanlarının sergiledikleri duygusal emek ve örgütsel sinizm davranışlarının işe yabancılaşma algıları üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini Kuşadası’nda faaliyet gösteren dört ve beş yıldızlı otel işletmeleri çalışanları oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak anket tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada kolayda örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak 500 otel çalışanı ile yüz yüze anket yapılmış 448 tanesi araştırma için kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi, T- Testi, Tek Yönlü Anova, Pearson Korelasyon, Çoklu ve Basit Regresyon analizlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, duygusal emeğin sadece samimi davranış boyutunun işe yabancılaşma üzerinde düşük düzeyde negatif yönde ve anlamlı bir etkisi olduğu, çalışanların samimi davranış gösterme düzeyi arttıkça işe yabancılaşma düzeyinin azaldığı görülmüştür.
