HILT was found to be effective in the short term in the treatment of pain and disability in patients with SAIS.

We evaluated the efficiency of botulinum toxin type A injection followed by a rehabilitation program including individual therapy, group therapy, and occupational therapy in cases of cerebral palsy with upper extremity involvement. A total of 29 injections were performed on 25 patients, and the patients were placed on rehabilitation program. At 3-month and 6-month assessments, there was a significant improvement in lateral grip strength, 9 Hole Peg test, Upper Limb Physician's Rating Scale and pediatric functional independence measure total scores. There were significant decreases in active range of motion in elbow extension, supination, and wrist extension, and Modified Ashworth Scale in elbow flexion, elbow pronation, and wrist flexion at 6-week, 3-month, and 6-month assessments. Combination of group therapy with traditional therapy methods after injection is effective in cases of cerebral palsy with upper extremity involvement.

The Erasmus exchange program has a positive influence on students' intercultural awareness since they find the chance to meet other cultures. Despite high levels of proficiency, there may still be misunderstandings between students of different cultures. As a consequence, the Erasmus program might not achieve its pluriculturalism aim. Purpose of the Study: This study aimed to find out what kind of communicational problems -if any-stemmed from cultural differences in the interactions of Erasmus students with the Turkish students in an undergraduate education context. Method: The data was collected from 69 participants: 39 Turkish students attending three different universities in Turkey and 30 Erasmus students coming from seven different countries.

Introduction The presence of pes planus may be responsible for the disorder of venous return during ambulation. Our aim in this study is to reveal that the risk of venous insufficiency may be increased in patients with pes planus. Methods A total of 59 patients with 29 bilateral pes planus and 30 normal arches included in the study. Djian Annonier angle measurement, bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasonography (USG), foot function index (AFI), Comprehensive Classification System for Chronic Venous Disorders (CEAP) clinical scoring and Short Form-36 (SF-36) was evaluated. Results There was a statistically significant difference in AFI total, AFI pain, AFI disability and AFI activity limitation scores, bilateral lower extremity doppler USG and CEAP clinical scores in the patient group compared to the control group. Conclusion These findings suggest that there may be a relationship between pes planus and venous insufficiency. However, large-scale studies with more patient involvement are needed.
