Ülkemizde büyük ölçekli harita üretimi yersel, uydu ve uzay teknolojileriyle üretilen verilerin analizi sonucunda gerçekleştirilmektedir. Son yıllarda gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte harita üretiminde hız ve kalite artışına imkân verecek nokta bulutu verileri kullanılmaktadır. Nokta bulutu verilerinden harita üretimine altlık olacak şekilde çeşitli katmanlar çıkarılabilmektedir. Bu katmanlardan en önemlisi büyük ölçekli haritalarda mevcut temel bina katmanıdır. Bina sınır geometrilerini yersel ve/veya uzaktan algılanmış verilerden manuel olarak çıkarmak yoğun iş gücü ve emek gerektirmektedir. Fotogrametrik görüntülerden eşleştirme ve lazer tarama yöntemi ile üretilen nokta bulutları üç boyutlu (3B) konum bilgisi sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, sekizdal (Octree) veri organizasyon metodu otomatikleştirilerek geliştirilen yeni bir yaklaşımla (I-Octree), fotogrametrik görüntülerden üretilen nokta bulutları ve LiDAR nokta bulutları kullanılarak bina detayının otomatik çıkarımı ve sayısallaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Metodolojik olarak sırasıyla, 3B nokta bulutunun görüntülerden ve LiDAR teknolojisi ile üretilmesi, nokta bulutundan zemin ve zemin üstü sınıfların SMRF algoritması ile ayrılması, bina objelerinin DBSCAN algoritması ile sınıflandırılması, sekizdal ve iyileştirilmiş sekizdal (I-Octree) yönteminin sınıflandırılan objelere uygulanarak bina objelerinin çıkarılması ve ABORE düzgünleştirme yöntemi ile bina kenarlarının sayısallaştırılması işlem adımları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen yaklaşım Erzurum test alanında fotogrametrik, Kaliforniya test alanında ise LiDAR nokta bulutu üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Her iki test alanı için hâlihazır haritalardaki bina sınırları referans olarak kullanılmıştır. Piksel tabanlı doğruluk analizi gerçekleştirmek üzere tamlık (Cp), doğruluk (Cr) ve F-skor (F-1) metrikleri kullanılmıştır. Her iki test alanında doğrulama sonuçları fotogrametrik nokta bulutunda %95 üzerinde elde edilirken, LiDAR nokta bulutu test alanında ise bu değer %99 üzerinde olacak şekilde hesaplanmıştır. Doğrulama sonucunda, geliştirilen yaklaşımın test alanlarında seçilen binaları yüksek doğrulukla ortaya çıkarabildiği tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, geliştirilen yaklaşımla farklı yoğunluk değerine sahip nokta bulutlarından otomatik bir biçimde bina detay çıkarımı ve sayısallaştırma işleminin gerçekleştirilebileceği ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıca otomatik veri işlemenin, harita üretiminde işlem süresi, maliyet ve operatör hatasının azaltılmasına önemli ölçüde katkı sağladığı tespit edilmiştir.
Harita bileşeni bina katmanı sınırlarının klasik veya uzaktan algılama verilerinden manuel olarak belirlenmesi zaman alıcı ve çaba gerektiren önemli bir işlemdir. Görüntülerden eşleştirme yöntemiyle üretilen nokta bulutları, yoğun ve doğruluğu yüksek üç boyutlu (3B) konum bilgisi içermektedir. Binaların 3B nokta bulutlarından otomatik olarak çıkarılması geometrik düzensizlikleri, çıkarılacakları nokta bulutu yoğunluğu ve hassasiyeti açısından zor bir problemdir. Bu çalışmada, voksel temelli sekizdal (Octree) veri organizasyon metodu otomatikleştirilerek iyileştirilmiş Octree (I-Octree) yaklaşımı geliştirilmiş ve görüntülerden üretilen nokta bulutları üzerinde bina detaylarının otomatik çıkarımı ve düzgünleştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Elazığ bölgesinde seçilen çalışma alanında 3B nokta bulutu görüntülerden üretilmiş, zemin ve zemin üstü objeler SMRF metodu ile ayıklanmış, DBSCAN algoritması ile bina objeleri gürültülerden ayıklanarak sınıflandırılmış ve sekizdal ile I-Octree yöntemlerinin sınıflandırılan objelere uygulanması ile ortaya çıkarılan bina detaylarına ABORE metodu ile kenar düzgünleştirmesi işlemi uygulanmıştır. Otomatik olarak çıkarılan bina verileri çalışma alanını içeren 1/1000 ölçekli hâlihazır harita referans verisi desteğiyle piksel tabanlı tamlık (Cp), doğruluk (Cr), kalite (Q) ve F-skor (F-1) metrikleri ile doğrulanmıştır. Doğrulama sonuçları her bir metrik için maksimum değer olarak %94 üzerinde elde edilmiştir. Görüntülerden üretilmiş nokta bulutları üzerinden, geliştirilen I-Octree yaklaşımı ile bina detayı çıkarılması noktasında hızlı ve ucuz bir harita üretimi sürecine katkıda bulunabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
