O setor agroindustrial tem hoje um grande desafio, suprir a demanda mundial. Toneladas de alimentos são produzidos e beneficiados todos os dias no mundo inteiro. A geração de resíduos do setor cresce proporcionalmente a produção, o que ressalta a importância de viabilizar a valorização dos mesmos. Diante desse contexto este trabalho analisa os biocarvões, produzidos a partir de bagaço de cana-de-açúcar, cascas de arroz e cascas de coco verde, com o propósito foi verificar a influência da temperatura sobre parâmetros como o potencial hidrogeniônico, condutividade e capacidade de troca catiônica dos biocarvões obtidos dos diferentes tipos de biomassa. O processo de pirólise foi realizado em um reator de bancada com regime de leito fixo com as seguintes configurações: temperaturas de pico de 350, 450 e 550 °C; taxa de aquecimento de 10 °C min-1; e tempo de imersão de 30 minutos. Os resultados obtidos indicam o tipo de biomassa e as condições operatórias mais indicados para se obter um biocarvão que preencha os requisitos mínimos para ser usado como condicionador de solo. A casca de coco verde apresentou as condições mais interessantes, obteve com 10,3 μ/s (pH) e 1945 uScm-1 (condutividade) a 550°C e 87 mmol/kg (capacidade de troca catiônica) a 450°C. Por meio dos resultados foi possível identificar que biocarvões obtidos em temperaturas mais elevadas apresentaram condições mais favoráveis para a aplicação em perspectiva.
