Despite the low incidence, pediatric hip fractures continue to be a topic of great interest. Because they are rare, there is a lack of consensus for best treatment. More prospective randomized studies examining treatment outcomes and associated complications are necessary. This study reviews the recent literature on how treatment practices have changed to improve outcomes and reduce complications.
