Premature infants surviving require advanced medical interventions and professional nursing care. Despite the innovative interventions in the medical field, they remain vulnerable for long-term complications, which is the result of early disruption of their intrauterine life and sudden exposure to an entirely unfamiliar NICU environment. One strategy for helping premature grows normally in NICU is developmental care, which includes positioning, nesting, and swaddling as daily routine care. This study aims to assess the effect of learning package regarding nesting and swaddling for premature on nurses knowledge and performance in NICU. A quasi-experimental research design using one group (pre, immediately post and three months later) was used for this study. Setting: The study was conducted at NICU in Abha Maternity and Child Hospital (AMCH), Abah city, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Subjects: 77 nurses who work in the previously mentioned NICU as a convenience sample. Tools: two tools used to collect the study: A Structured questionnaire sheet to assess nurses' knowledge regarding nesting and swaddling and the observation sheet to assess nurses' performance of nesting and swaddling in NICU. Results: There was a statistically significant difference regarding nurses' knowledge and performance about nesting and swaddling immediately after and three months later compared with before learning package. Conclusion: There was a significant positive effect of implementing learning package in improving nurses' knowledge and performance about nesting and swaddling in NICU for premature infants. Recommendations: Neonatal nurses must be provided with the best evidence about applying nesting and swaddling techniques for premature infants as a standard of developmentally supportive care in the NICUs.

Using of the internet today is a growing part of any society. Teenagers are the most users of the internet at their home and/or school. Therefore, it changes their daily lives in terms of physical, social, and psychological status that may exaggerated to be an internet addiction disorder or a physical problem. The aim of the study was to recognize the effects of excessive internet use in Saudi and Egyptian teenagers' health. The design used to conduct the present study was a descriptive correlation design, a convenient sample of 668 teenagers who were recruited from intermediate and secondary school from both countries, 331 teenagers from King Saudi Arabia (KSA) and 337 from Arab Republic of Egypt (ARE). Three tools were used for data collection: the first one was a questionnaire including demographic background of the participants and their families. The second was Internet Addiction Test (IAT) Young (1998) and the third pain rating scale to assess the intensity of musculoskeletal pain that encountered by the students. Results show that 86.6% of KSA teenagers used the internet daily compared to 69.6% in ARE. Regarding internet addiction, in teenagers, 0.9% were severe, 45.3% moderate and 47.7% mild compared to 0.3%, 46.3% and 44.2% in ARE one, 67.3% of KSA teenagers have musculoskeletal pain with internet usage compared to 74.3% in ARE teenagers. No significant relation was found between both groups in relation to internet addiction. A significant relations were found in Saudi students' socio-demographic data and their level of internet addiction in the area of academic level (p ≤ .001), and level of academic achievement (p = .037). No significant relation was found in the same area for Egyptian students. The researchers suggest further studies to be conducted in this field on larger sample size for both genders to identify the other factors related to excessive internet use.

Background Asthma is a complex condition that can impair not only the child’s physical growth but also his optimal functional capacity and performance. Buteyko breathing technique is an exercise designed to regulate the breathing process. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the Buteyko breathing technique on asthma severity control among school-age children. In Egypt, this technique was applied through five studies, four among adult patients and only one among children. In Mansoura University, only one study conducted among adult patients and no studies conducted among children. Therefore, to fulfill this gap of knowledge, it was necessary to study the effect of this technique on asthma severity control among school age children. Results The mean childhood asthma control pretest was significantly improved in the posttest with high mean percent change of posttest than pretest (p = 0.0001), which was clinically and statically high significant. There was a statistical significant increase in the mean of peak expiratory flow rate and control pause test at the fourth week than the first one (p = 0.0001), with a high significant mean percent of change. There was a significant decrease in the heart rate over the 4 weeks of follow-up with high mean percent changes at fourth week than the first one (p = 0.003). Conclusions This study supports the effectiveness of the Buteyko breathing technique in improving respiratory outcome and promoting asthma control among school-age children with bronchial asthma. Background: Incivility behaviors are the main source of dissatisfaction and frustration to keen learner students. Therefore, it is important to strength the interactions between the students and their nursing lecturers to increase civil culture on the university. Aim: The study aims to determine the relationship between incivility behavior among nursing students and their engagement at class room. Methods: Descriptive correlational comparative design used. The study involved 590 nursing students who enrolled in second year at both nursing technical institute which follow Mansoura University and Health Institute which follow Ministry of Health at Mansoura city. Three tools used for data collection: First: The Incivility in Nursing Education -Revised (INE-R) tool to assess student"s perception about incivility. Second: Ways of Coping (Revised) Questionnaire. Third: The Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) tool to assess engagement in the classroom. Results: University technical institute students expose to incivility behavior more than heath technical institute students (40.11±11.13, 36.52 ±7.09) respectively. Copying strategies used by nursing students at health technical institute and university technical institute were moderate (60.4%, 48.7%) respectively. The student nurses low incivility at health technical institute than at university technical institute (93.2%, 79.4%) respectively. There were highly significant differences (P≤0.01). The student nurses moderate engagement at both university technical institute and health technical institute (43.9%, 40.7%) respectively. There were highly significant differences (P≤0.01). Conclusion:Majority of student nurses at technical institute and health institute were low incivility. Also About half of student nurses at university and health were high engagement. There is negative strong correlation between incivility and engagement in both setting. Recommendation: Optimal strategies to prevent and manage the incivility among nursing student and encourage their engagement at classroom.

Background: Acute gastroenteritis is the fifth leading cause of death worldwide. Objective: current study aimed to evaluate the effect of application of educational guidelines about preventive measures of acute gastroenteritis on mothers' knowledge and reported practices. Methods: A quasiexperimental design was used in this study. The study was carried out in outpatient clinics affiliated to Mansoura University Children's Hospital, Egypt. Subjects of this study was a purposive sample of (100) mothers with their children attended outpatient clinics. A developed structured questionnaire sheet to assess mothers' knowledge and reported practice. Results: there was a statistically significant difference in mothers' knowledge and reported practice about preventive measures of acute gastroenteritis post implementation of educational guidelines. Conclusion: there was an enhancement in the mothers' knowledge and reported practice after application of educational guidelines about preventive measures of acute gastroenteritis. Recommendations: Continuous educational programs for health care providers and educators about gastroenteritis to be delivered at outpatient clinics.
