The problem of the weak hackto-back HVDC link is investigated by quasisteady-state analysis and small perturbation linearized stability analysis. The large ac line impedances on either sides of the HVDC link present severe constrain+s so that there may be no feasible steady-stave solutions unless a and y are co-ordinated with load demands. Formulae of steady-state stability limits, hunting frequencies, and voltage collapse are derived. One scenario for voltage collapse instability is discovered. A Composite Phasor Diagram is presented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
