The paper reported the combination of the carbon nanotube and alumina by a chemical coating such as plasma electrolytic oxidation at a specific current density of 150 mA/cm 2 . During the plasma chemical coatings, the responding voltage was increased with increasing coating time because of a gradual increment in the amount of the carbon nanotube within the alumina layer.Thus, lots of the carbon nanotubes were formed in the vicinity of the pores, showing a uniform coating layer morphology. This finding would be explained according to the electrophoresis in the chemical electrolyte.
