Straipsnyje plėtojama nelaimėms atsparios asmens sveikatos priežiūros įstaigos koncepcija. Sisteminės ir lyginamosios mokslinės literatūros turinio analizės metodų pagalba siekiama atskleisti mokslinėje literatūroje vartojamą nelaimėms atsparios asmens sveikatos priežiūros įstaigos sampratą bei identifikuoti atsparumą didinančias priemones. Ligoninių atsparumas vertinamas kaip dvejopas gebėjimas: išlaikyti funkcionalumą ir atkurti pajėgumus po ekstremalaus įvykio sukeltų nuostolių. Nustatyta, kad asmens sveikatos priežiūros įstaigų atsparumo didinimo priemonės taikytinos visiems sveikatos sistemos elementams (lyderystei ir valdymui, sveikatos priežiūros darbuotojams, sveikatos informacinei sistemai, medicinos produktams ir technologijoms, paslaugų teikimui bei finansavimui). Konkrečiai su sveikatos priežiūros paslaugų specifika susijusios reikšmingos priemonės yra gelbėjimo vietoje įranga, plano turėjimas ir vykdymas, kompleksinių priežiūros poreikių turinčių pacientų gabenimo įranga, vaistų valdymo strategijos, skubiosios medicinos pagalbos sąlygos, nelaimių komitetas, pagrindinių vaistų atsargų tipai ir kiekiai, skubiosios pagalbos lovų padidinimo pajėgumai, gerai išplėtoti ir lengvai keičiami pacientų priežiūros protokolai, lanksčios elektroninių sveikatos įrašų sistemos, skirtingų ligoninių koordinavimo bei tarpusavio sąveikos sistemos, tvirtų tiekimo grandinių suformavimas. Esminis vaidmuo nelaimių atvejais tenka žmogiškajam veiksniui.
