Uranyl-organic frameworks (UOFs) have recently been the object of many research endeavors due to the unique coordination mode of uranyl ions and their attractive physicochemical properties. Here, a new (3,4)-connected UOF (U-IHEP-4) assembled from uranyl and porphyrin ligand tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin (H4TCPP) is reported, which represents the first case of actinide porphyrinic MOFs. Adsorption experiments in DMF solution demonstrated that U-IHEP-4 selectively adsorbs positively charged dyes, which is in line with its negatively charged framework and large pore volume ratio (90 %). Remarkably, U-IHEP-4 exhibited high catalytic activity for the dehydrogenation of N-heterocycles to synthesize the corresponding aromatic heterocycles and it can be used as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst.

UiO‐66 is a classic Metal–organic framework (MOF) that constructed by zirconium cations and terephthalate with high chemical and thermal stability. Using pristine UiO‐66 nanocrystals as the catalysts, the carbon–carbon bond formation based on denitrogenative substitution of aryl diazonium salts has been achieved under mild condition. The C–H arylation of both enol acetates and heteroarenes could be performed in aqueous medium without other metal assistance. The UiO‐66 catalyst shows good water stability and reusability as well as impressive functional group tolerance.

Zeolitic imidazolate framework‐8 (ZIF‐8) was successfully composited with an anionic basic resin 201 × 7 (717‐resin) to provide a novel ZIF‐8/717‐resin composite. Its catalytic activity toward the Knoevenagel condensation reaction was evaluated. Results showed that ZIF‐8/717‐resin composite could efficiently catalyze this reaction, affording the corresponding products in good to excellent yields. Good functional group tolerance, mild reaction conditions, good stability and reusability of the catalyst are the major features of present protocol.
