Central banks use monetary policy tools to ensure financial stability and price stability. Policy interest rate is one of the most effective tools of monetary policy. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of policy interest rates applied by the The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) on Borsa İstanbul between 2010-2020. The effect of interest rate increase or cut decisions on the BIST100 index was analyzed by the event study method. According to the results of the analysis, it has been determined that interest rate cut decisions have a significant and negative effect on the BIST100 index, while interest rate increase decisions have a negative effect, but this effect is non-significant.

Sermaye piyasalarındaki yatırım atmosferinin önde gelen göstergelerinden biri olan volatilite gelişmekte olan ülke piyasalarını önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Türkiye son yıllarda gösterdiği performans ile küresel ekonomiye yön veren gelişmekte olan ülkelerden oluşturulan BRICS grubuna aday olarak gösterilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, uluslararası volatilite göstergesi olarak kabul edilen korku endeksinin BRICS ülkeleri ve Türkiye hisse senedi piyasaları üzerinde yaratacağı etkinin ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda; korku endeksi, döviz kuru, tüketici güven endeksi ve özgürlük endeksinin kompozit hisse senedi endeksi üzerindeki etkisi panel veri analizi yöntemleri ile incelenmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, borsa endeksi üzerinde korku endeksi ve döviz kurunun negatif, özgürlük endeksinin ise pozitif etkisi bulunduğu belirlenmiştir. Tüketici güven endeksi ile borsa endeksi arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilememiştir.

As in all other areas, sustainability concept has become crucial in tourism sector. The Green Key award represents standard of excellence in the field of environmental and sustainable responsibility within the tourism industry. This eco-label is given to the tourism establishments according to the strict criteria determined by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). These criteria include energy, water, waste and environmental management. The Green Key Award system is applied in 56 countries, more than 2600 tourism establishments all over the World. In 2017, Turkey, as one of the favourite tourism destination, is ranked as the 8th among the 56 countries with 86 tourism establishments having the Green Key award. Muğla province, as the 3rd most popular tourist destination in Turkey, attracts millions of domestic and foreign visitors every year with its natural and historical spots in Fethiye, Marmaris and Bodrum. There are 17 hotels taking the Green Key award in this city. This study is about financing of sustainability investments at tourism sector in Muğla. For this purpose, a research with Qualitative Interviewing Technique will be conducted in Hotels having Green Key award in Muğla. The aim of this study is to examine the sustainability activities in tourism sector and explore the sources of finance for these activities. In addition, consciousness about special resource and incentives will be analysed.

Gelişen teknoloji ve artan dünya nüfusu doğal kaynakların hızla tükenmesine neden olmakta, bu durum da insanlığın ve dünyanın gelecekteki varlığını devam ettirebilmesi için sürdürülebilirlik kavramının gündeme gelmesi gerekliliğini ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Her alanda olduğu gibi turizm sektöründe de sürdürülebilirlik faaliyetleri zorunlu hale gelmiştir. "Yeşil Anahtar", turizm sektöründe faaliyet gösteren ve çevreye duyarlı olduğu belirlenen işletmeler için geliştirilmiş olan bir sertifikasyon sistemidir. Bu çalışmada Muğla ilindeki 2017 yılında Yeşil Anahtar ödülü almaya hak kazanmış turizm işletmelerinde gerçekleştirilen çevreye duyarlı faaliyetler ve sürdürülebilirlik yatırımları incelenmiş, bu yatırımların finansman kaynakları üzerinde durulmuş, konuyla ilgili bilinç düzeyi değerlendirilmiştir.
