Our article deals with Sunan type works in early Hadith Literature and the concept of Sunan problems in the works of Hadith Methodology. In the history of hadith, many works have been classified under the name of Sunan. Some of these classified works are also mentioned in the sources as Jami‘, Musannaf, Sahîh. In this respect, there is a problem in naming some hadith sources as Sunan. The word Sunan, which is the name of a genre in the hadith literature, has gained a conceptual meaning in the historical process. In the Hadith Methodology works of the Mutaqaddimin (Former Scholars) and Mutaakhkhirin (Following Scholars) period, the word Sunan was mainly used both as the Sunnah of the Prophet and the name of some Hadith works. The conceptualization of the word Sunan took place quite late and many definitions of Sunan were made in the contemporary period. However, the definition of Sunan and the contents of the works whose name is Sunan do not match. Among these definitions, the definition of Kettânî (d. 1345/1927) in his work er-Risâletü'l-müstatrefe was accepted and transferred in later sources. Kettânî did not include any reference in his work for his definition. Because of this problem, the definition of Kettânî has been discussed by some authors. Our article deals with these problems arising from the concept of Sunan.
Tracheobronchopathia Osteochondroplastica (TO) is a rare and benign disease with a progressive course. Its clinical manifestation is observed on computed tomography by the presence of diffuse osteocartilage submucosal nodules invading the lumen of the trachea and usually the main bronchi. Bronchoscopic evaluation is necessary for differential diagnosis. Standard treatment has not been determined as few patients have been reported in the literature. A 58-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital with complaints of cough and dyspnea increasing with exertion. A fiberoptic bronchoscopy demonstrated many protruding lesions along the trachea with no involvement of the bronchial system. The patient was stable at a two-year follow-up.

Bunlardan biri onun mübarek sözleri ‘Hadis’ iken, diğeri de fiili uygulamaları olan ‘Sünnet’tir. ‘Sünnet’ doğal olarak ümmetin onları aynen taklit edip devam ettirmesiyle varlığını sürdürmüş, ‘Hadis’ ise kısmen yazı ile büyük ölçüde de hafızanın yardımıyla ezberlenerek korunmuş ve sonraki nesillere aktarılmıştır. Yazılı olarak muhafaza edilen hadisler zamanla tedvin ve tasnif edilmiş, bunun sonucunda Musannef, Muvatta, Câmi‘, Sünen ve Müsned gibi isimlerle anılan Hadis edebiyatı ortaya çıkmıştır. Hadis edebiyatının oluşumu ve gelişimi batılı araştırmacıların çalışmalarına konu edilmiştir. Oryantalistler, kendi perpektifleriyle Hadis edebiyatına ve kavramlarına ilişkin doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak bir takım değerlendirmelerde bulunmuşlardır. Özellikle Ignaz Goldziher (1850-1921), Hadis edebiyatının evrelerini bir çok açıdan ele almış, hadis kaynaklarını ve kavramlarını geniş bir şekilde mütaala etmiştir.
Bu makalede, Goldziher’in “Muhammedanische Studien” isimli eseri özelinde hadislerin yazıyla kaydı, tedvini ve tasnif süreci ile ilgili yaklaşımı ele alınacaktır.
