Objetivou-se conhecer e analisar denúncias de violência sexual infanto-juvenil (VSIJ) por meio da análise documental de processos criminais. Encontrou-se 43 processos relativos a 49 vítimas e a 44 indiciados, com VSIJ supostamente praticada por homens que integravam a família (65,9%), ocorridas em ambiente doméstico (74,4%), incluindo, geralmente, apenas indiciado e vítima (86%), na maioria mulheres (87,8%). Concluiu-se que o uso dos processos criminais se mostra relevante. A semelhança entre os resultados e os dados da literatura científica indica a importância de se utilizar estas informações em programas de educação e prevenção, e de se refletir sobre estratégias para os casos que não chegam às autoridades.
