Este trabalho tem por objetivo refletir sobre a atuação digital de sete crianças brasileiras (cinco meninas e dois meninos) que produzem conteúdos para a Internet, ligados à educação e à promoção e defesa de direitos. Para o alcance dos objetivos, foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas que versavam sobre as trajetórias dessas crianças, o seu envolvimento com as diversas pautas de luta, assim como as estratégias utilizadas para lidar com o status de influenciadores digitais. Somado a isso, foi realizada uma etnografia digital, com o intuito de acompanhar o conteúdo produzido pelas crianças e a interação com os seguidores através das plataformas digitais (Instagram, Twitter e Tiktok) por um período de 24 meses. Para fundamentar a presente investigação, foi utilizado como marco teórico estudos na área da Sociologia da Infância e investigações que abordam temáticas sobre a cibercultura. Os resultados permitem compreender que a presença das crianças na Internet não se limita ao consumo e reprodução de conteúdos supostamente exclusivos do universo infantil. De fato, as crianças atuam, e em muitos momentos se percebem, enquanto sujeitos políticos, que almejam a transformação social. As crianças pautam temas como a importância da representatividade, a necessidade de uma educação antirracista, o empoderamento feminino, assim como se posicionam contra todas as formas de discriminação e exclusão. Nesse sentido, a Internet, enquanto espaço público, possibilita a participação e o envolvimento das crianças em temas relevantes e atuais, permitindo ainda o reconhecimento das mesmas como sujeitos políticos.
RESUMO O presente trabalho, realizado pelo viés da Sociologia da Infância, tem como objetivo principal apresentar algumas das ações das crianças consideradas digital influencers para a promoção de conscientização e enfrentamento daCovid-19. A recolha dos dados foi realizada a partir de uma etnografia digital, analisando as redes sociais e notícias vinculadas na mídia de onze crianças de diferentes países (Brasil, Estados Unidos, Uganda e Suécia). Foi possível identificar que a Internet tem possibilitado uma visibilidade a grupos minoritários, como as crianças, permitindo que esse grupo social se engaje em ações que considera relevantes, obtendo maior visibilidade de suas lutas por meio das redes e acessando pessoas que até então eram desconsideradas nas agendas dos movimentos sociais.
Aim. The work has as main objective to present some of the actions of children considered activists to face the climate crisis through social media. Technologies and social mediaallow them a new form of existence and action through their posts, whether is in video,photo or text format, promoting interactions and discussions that captivate hundreds orthousands of followers.Methods. Data collection was carried out from a digital ethnography, analysing thesocial media and linked news in the media of 13 children from different countries (Australia,United States, India, Holland, England, Indonesia, South Africa, Uganda and Sweden) overan 18-month period.Results. To understand the data, digital ethnography was used as a strategy to followthe main interactions and online mobilisations through different social media (Facebook,Instagram and Twitter), as well as linked news in the media about those children, andarticulation of them with governmental, non-governmental organizations and private companies. In relation to the selection of participants, the profi le of a child activist was addedand through the algorithms of these platforms other activists with similar profi les werefound that promote content about climate justice.Conclusions. It was possible to identify that the Internet has enabled the visibility andarticulation of children’s actions on the theme, and how this engagement has promotedawareness and changes to fi ght against the climate crisis. It is worth emphasising theimportance of digital literacy so that access to these spaces is carried out safely and responsibly for this social group.
